Currently, I am only doing volunteering through the IUPUI Swim Team. We have volunteered at Regatta and Goodwill this year. Our job was to help the boats enter and exit the canal and menover them to the start line. At Goodwill, I was in charge of sorting clothing based on price, hang them, and keep the isles clean while customers were shopping. Both opportunities were not the ideal volunteering I would choose to do, however, I learned organization and time management is important no matter what the situation is. At Regatta, we had to have a boat at the start line every minute and at Goodwill we had to manage our time to complete all the tasks we were assigned.

For my future time at IUPUI, I plan on volunteering at a local hospital to gian experience in the medical field and learn as much as I can from nurses, doctors, and patients I will work with at the hospital. I have applied to Riley's Children Hospital and am in the process of being hired. It is important for me to gain experience in the hospital, so I can have a better understanding of all the different types of nurses there are and what they do on a daily basics.
